CIO 100 Annual Symposium and Awards 2015

The CIO 100 Annual Symposium and Awards event took place on the 5th and 6th of November at the Enashipai Resort in Kenya, and the Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA) was short-listed as one of the 100 organizations distinguished for its enterprise IT excellence, achieved through HAKKEN’s Multi-Channel Customer Experience project.


About this project, HAKKEN’s Managing Partner Carlos Oliveira, says: “This scalable and flexible solution allows CBA to manage information from different technical domains, transforming the way the Bank works and how IT and business work together. Its main purpose is to help simplify and streamline their operations, enabling to immediately correlate user transactions with technological component’s that may be causing user experience limitations.”


This event is highly recognized in the IT industry as it acknowledges companies that had innovative technology breakthroughs, delivering business value to people within their organizations and to their customers.  The selection was based on more than 500 applications submitted and also nominations from technology vendors and editors of the CIO East Africa magazine. Amongst the award winners and honorees were companies like Bidco Refineries, Ramco Group, Kenya Airways, Sarova Hotels, Commercial Bank of Africa, Nairobi City Water and DHL.


The agenda covered topics about technology trends and advancements for business, including Cloud Computing, Business and Enterprise Mobility, Cyber Defense, Big Data and Analytics, IT Leadership and IT Commoditization.
